PET 20 mesh is a high-transparent invisible window screen woven from PET polyester monofilament in a plain weave, with clear visibility and good light transmission. It contains 20 warp and 20 weft threads per inch with filament diameters of 0.175 mm (warp) and 0.135 mm (weft). It is widely used for sliding window screens and roll-up screens.

It is the mesh density: 20 threads per inch in the warp (vertical) direction and 20 threads per inch in the weft (horizontal) direction. The balanced, uniform weave ensures consistent mesh openings and a flat, even appearance.

Q4. How long does PET 20 mesh last?

Under normal use in window screens, PET 20 mesh has a service life of about 10 years. Weather resistance is validated by 500 hours of accelerated weathering testing; the material shows no oxidation, shrinkage or deformation at up to 95 C.

Q5. Is PET 20 mesh flame retardant?

Yes. PET 20 mesh passes the FMVSS 302 flammability test, slowing flame spread and meeting safety requirements for household window screens. It is not a non-combustible material, so please follow local regulations for high-risk installations.

Yes. The 20 x 20 structure with uniform mesh openings physically blocks mosquitoes and flying insects at the window opening while keeping visibility and airflow. Because the protection is physical, it does not depend on chemicals or coatings and remains effective for the life of the screen.
