PET 60 Cicada Wing Mesh — FAQ

How long does PET 60 Cicada Wing Mesh last?

About 5 years of normal use, backed by SGS 500-hour xenon-arc aging per ISO 4892-3:2016.

Does it keep mosquitoes and insects out?

Yes — the tight 60-mesh weave physically blocks mosquitoes and common indoor insects (>95% indoor barrier rate) without any chemical coating or repellent.

What windows is it compatible with?

Designed for roller and scroll window screens. Not recommended for metal roller tubes. Confirm compatibility with our sales team for casement or hinged windows.

What widths and lengths are available?

Standard width: 60–160 cm. Standard roll: 100 m. Custom widths and lengths are available — please confirm with our sales team.

Is the color fade-resistant?

Yes. Color-masterbatch yarn dyeing locks color inside the filament — no coating, no surface fading. Light fastness is Grade 4.5.

How is it packed for shipping?

Standard default packaging or carton with a paper tube core to prevent deformation during transport. Please confirm packaging details before placing an order.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes — samples are available. Share your required width, length, color and packaging, and our sales team will confirm arrangement and lead time.

What certifications do you hold?

ISO 9001, BSCI, REACH 253, RoHS, SGS, CE, CNAS, CMA. The product also passes SGS aging tests per ISO 4892-3:2016.

Is it easy to cut and install?

Yes. PET monofilament plain weave is stable and easy to cut with standard tools. 100 m rolls are convenient for batch production and window/door fabrication.

How does it compare to fiberglass screen?

PET 60 is a polyester monofilament mesh — thinner (0.13 mm), higher transparency, more flexible, and less prone to cracking than fiberglass. It also resists skewing during rolling, making it ideal for roller and scroll screens.
